Sublimation Transfer Machine: Operating Precautions
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:126 Times
Most problems on a transfer machine come from skipping one of these checks.
- Let the drum reach temperature before you start. Running cold gives weak, patchy colour.
- Check the fabric and paper are aligned. A skew of a few millimetres over a long run puts the print off the edge of the panel.
- Keep the blanket tension even. Slack at one end shows up as a light band down the fabric.
- Never stop with fabric against a hot drum. If you have to pause, release the pressure first.
- Watch the first few metres. Colour problems caught early cost a few metres; caught late they cost the roll.
- Clean the drum when it has cooled. Dust and dye build-up mark the next job.
None of this is complicated, but it has to be done every shift, not when someone remembers.
