How to Choose a Digital Printing Machine
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:3970 Times
Buying a digital printing machine comes down to matching the machine to the work you actually do.
Print width. Size the machine for your widest regular job, not the widest job you might one day take.
Print head. Epson DX5, DX7 and 5113 heads are the common choices in sublimation printing. Head choice affects speed, colour and running cost more than any other component.
Ink system. Look at the cost per litre, how easy it is to change colours and whether the supplier can deliver consistently. Cheap ink that varies batch to batch will cost you more in rejected work than the ink itself.
Speed and resolution. Higher resolution means slower printing. Decide which matters more for your work.
Service. Print heads are consumables. Ask how quickly replacements arrive and whether an engineer is available when something stops.
Tell us the fabric, the panel size and the daily output you need, and we will recommend a printer and a transfer line that match.
