Sublimation Transfer Machine: Application Guide

A sublimation transfer machine transfers a printed image from paper onto fabric with heat and pressure. Understanding where it fits saves a lot of wasted effort.
Best suited to
Sportswear, cycling wear, swimwear, dancewear, performance apparel, home textiles, flags and banners, lanyards and webbing, bags and accessories.
Fabric requirement
The dye needs a synthetic fibre to bond with. Polyester works best. Blends work in proportion to their polyester content. Cotton, silk, wool and linen cannot be printed this way.
Typical settings
Around 190–200 °C at the drum, with contact time set by drum diameter and running speed. Pressure is adjusted to suit the fabric weight.

No wash-off, no drying, no water use, no screen to prepare, and a soft handle on the finished fabric.
