Common Faults on Transfer Machines and Their Causes
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:1275 Times
Most faults on a sublimation transfer machine come from a short list of causes.
- Uneven or patchy colour – usually uneven pressure, a slack or worn blanket, or a high spot on the drum.
- Temperature that will not hold – low heat-transfer oil, a failing thermostat, or a heating element that has partly failed.
- A repeating mark on the fabric – almost always a mark or high spot on the drum, repeating once per revolution.
- Fabric skewing – uneven blanket tension or a misaligned guide roller.
- Drive noise or surging – belt tension, bearing wear, or a failing drive motor.
- Oil leaks – worn seals at the rotary joint.
Keep a log of temperature, pressure and anything you notice. When something does go wrong, the log usually identifies the cause in minutes rather than hours.
