Sublimation Transfer MachineMaintenance Routine

A simple routine keeps a transfer machine printing evenly and adds years to the blanket and drum:
Daily
- Check the drum temperature reaches and holds your set point.
- Wipe the drum surface with a soft cloth once it has cooled.
- Check the blanket for creases, marks or slack tension.
Weekly
- Clean the blanket and check both ends are pulling evenly.
- Check the oil level and look for leaks around the rotary joint.
- Check the drive belt tension and lubricate the bearings.
Monthly
- Inspect the heating circuit and the thermostat.
- Check the pressure system for leaks.
- Have the drum surface inspected for wear.
Keep a short log of temperature, pressure and any marks you see. It makes faults much easier to trace later.
