Rotary Digital Printing: Fast Production

What makes a rotary digital printing line fast is not one component – it is that the whole process runs continuously.
Continuous transfer. Fabric and paper feed through against a heated drum, so the machine never stops to load and unload a piece. Output is quoted in metres per hour.
Dwell time by design. Drum diameter sets the contact time. A larger drum means the machine can run faster while still transferring colour fully.
No setup between jobs. There is no screen to prepare and no plate to change. The next design is simply the next file.
Repeatable settings. Once the temperature, pressure and speed are recorded for a fabric, every operator produces the same result.
The commercial effect is that short runs become practical. A screen line needs hours of preparation before the first metre; a rotary digital line starts printing in minutes.
