How to Choose a T-Shirt Printing Machine
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:1273 Times
There is no single best t-shirt printing machine – the right choice depends on volume, artwork and fabric.
- Heat press (flat). The simplest option. Manual, pneumatic or hydraulic presses transfer pre-printed designs onto finished garments. Ideal for small batches, sample runs and personalised orders.
- Sublimation transfer line. For printing polyester sportswear and performance wear in volume. Print onto paper, then transfer with a rotary machine for continuous production.
- DTG. Prints directly onto the garment. Good for cotton, but the ink cost per piece is high.
- Screen printing. Cheapest per piece at high volume, but each colour needs its own screen, so set-up cost only pays off on long runs.
Ask yourself three questions: what fabric am I printing, how many pieces per day, and how many colours per design? Those answers usually point to one method.
