Main Advantages of Thermal Transfer Printing
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:68 Times
Heat Transfer vs Screen vs Digital Printing is chosen for a short list of practical advantages.
- No wash-off and no drying. The fabric is ready to handle as soon as it leaves the machine.
- Colour fastness. The dye bonds into the fibre, so the print does not crack, peel or fade in the wash.
- No setup cost. Nothing to prepare between designs, which makes short runs and repeats economical.
- Photographic detail. Gradients and fine lines transfer at no extra cost.
- Low water use. The process is essentially dry.
- Soft handle. The fabric keeps its original drape.
- Compact equipment. A transfer line occupies far less floor space than a screen printing line of the same capacity.
The one requirement is synthetic fabric – polyester or a high-polyester blend. For cotton or silk you need a different process.
