What Is a Sublimation Transfer MachineUsed For?
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:159 Times
A sublimation transfer machine transfers a printed image from transfer paper onto fabric using heat and pressure. It is the step that turns a printed sheet of paper into finished printed cloth.
Typical applications:
- Sportswear, cycling wear and swimwear
- T-shirts and fashion garments
- Home textiles – curtains, bedding, cushions
- Lanyards, webbing and ribbon
- Flags and banners
- Shoes, bags and accessories
It works best on polyester and synthetic fabrics, and on blends with a high polyester content. Cotton, silk and linen cannot be printed this way because the dye needs a synthetic fibre to bond with.
Compared with screen printing there is no wash-off, no drying and almost no waste water, which is why it has become the standard method for short runs and personalised work.
